Hilton Opera in Hanoi, Vietnam - 5 stars hotel per international standards

Address: 1 Le Thanh Tong St, Hoan Kiem Dist, Hanoi, Vietnam

Centrally located in Hanoi’s elegant French Quarter, the Hilton Hanoi Opera hotel is a short walk from the famous Old Quarter and the city’s bustling business district. Voted ‘Vietnam’s Leading Hotel’ for the last five years by the prestigious World Travel Awards, the Hilton Hanoi Opera is a landmark in the city.

If you are in the market for a 5* in Hanoi, can recommend the Hilton. Bouquets: Lovely architecture, helpful staff, clean, luxuriously appointed room, 10 out of 10 Hilton breakfast, good location. Brickbats: Quynh, paying for the internet @ 23 US cents per minute. C'mon Hilton, keep up, free internet is the way to go.

Offerred received from the Hilton at the airport was fast and economical. It also does not hurt it was in a BMW 5 series. Transport takes about 30 minutes at night and the drivers are effective. Have been used to the idea of honking horns and beeping scooters. This is classic driving Vietnam.
Hilton is located next to the Opera House as the name suggests. This is a short walk from the dining facilities and many beautiful lakes to go on.

Checkin was efficient and very friendly staff. A small error was made in which the front desk HHONORS think my profile shows a preference for bonus points compared to an upgraded room, which was not true. It was repaired and in no time I was in my room upgrades.

The room was very clean, very large, and had a comfortable bed. The AC keeps a constant temperature as desired. The bathroom is very large and had a beautiful free standing shower and a bathtub. A small problem in the shower .. The drain is not effective and time running water any longer than 3 minutes or so leading to flooding of the bathroom, but did not have a drain. All other aspects of the bathroom was beautiful.

One aspect of Vietnam in the evening at the time was the burning of trash, leaves, etc. It creates a cloud in the air. Unfortunately the clouds also tend to hotel rooms through air vents at night. The staff offerred a new room, in honor of them.

The Executive Lounge is very nice, but allows smoking in parts. Food quality is very good, as well as beverage options.

The hotel gym has equipment functions and are near the pool.

On the trip back to the airport, stopping multiple incidents in traffic due to an upcoming meeting of ASEAN next week, but the airports drivre achieved relatively quickly.

I recommend the hotel for location, service and maintenance for all.

Check in was pretty fast. Rooms were modern and nice. Very comfortable bed.

The gym is small and just a weight machine. Treadmills are lifefitness home (not the club) so there is no middle line and seem flimsy. An elliptical and a bike. Pools small but big enough for the round.

Breakfast is completely reasonable and good service.
