Varden Hotel is perfect for a quick getaway! Located in the heart of Long Beach and walk to restaurants, bars, shops and centers everything. Varden is two things that the best is the warm hospitality (all their staff are sooooo friendly and very helpful) and the overall hygiene of the hotel (lobby and rooms are not tì stain). The small breakfast is interesting! Booked through reso Varden site (which is super easy!) Private Parking is a plus! The room and bathroom was a bit smaller than I was used to, but we only sleep so it was perfect! Everything is new! TV channels are great to watch.

Nothing is run of the factory about this hotel. All efforts have been made to restore the Varden to its former glory with a modern minimalist sophistication.

The bed was very comfortable we lose a whole morning can not get out of it!

 Larry, Charles & staff were wonderful and hospitable welcome. They nailed the taste of us then gave us all advice on the best beaches, restaurants and shopping, so we did not miss a thing.

Morning coffee / breakfast and evening wine is a great touch. We met many interesting people from all over the country and even a man from Australia. The owners are almost always present.

To be honest the rooms are small hotels do not have some of the amenities of a large chain, supply, but that's what makes it special. Varden is not for ordinary people, giving it special people who can appreciate the return of the boutique hotel that is difficult or impossible to find any more. If you like your business carbon copy and not care for the old school mom and pop you will not like the Varden.
